This Boren Scholarship info session is for current Flagship students, and will feature specific information not discussed in other information sessions.
Event is from 5-6pm in SQH 2114 on Thursday, October 29th.
The Boren Scholarship is aimed at undergraduates (US citizens) who want to study abroad for one or two semesters (preferably) in 2016-17 in non-traditional regions and countries, and who are interested in learning the languages of those areas. Boren Scholarships for 2016-17 may be used for study abroad in Summer 2016, Fall 2016 and/or Spring 2017. Maryland has ranked # 1 in the nation in Boren Scholarships awarded for the past 4 years, and Flagship students are extremely competitive candidates for this award.
*The Boren Scholarship is a U.S. Government-funded award that seeks applicants who have a strong interest in future Government service; the award carries a one-year service expectation.*
The UMD deadline to apply for the Boren Scholarship will be January 25, 2016. You can learn more about the Boren Scholarship program here:
