Fees and Housing
The program offers a low in-state tuition rate of $6,800 for all applicants that includes all cultural events, language partners, and field trips. This rate also includes student support services, including campus facilities use and maintenance, health services, campus-wide technology services, student registration services, recreation center / gym, shuttle bus, libraries, security & police services, language labs, and disability support services.
Room, board, books, and other living expenses are not included.

All tuition and fees are due by May 2nd, 2019. For students applying after that deadline, tuition and fees are due immediately upon enrollment into the program. The final deadline to apply to the Summer Institute is May 24, 2019.
TUITION & FEE REFUND INFORMATION:
If a student decides to withdraw from the program after payment, tuition and program fee refunds for both sessions will be processed as follows:
Cancellation of all courses by May 31st: 100%
Cancellation of all courses by June 7th: 70%
Cancellation of all courses before June 14th: 50%
Cancellation of all courses before June 21st: 20%
Cancellation of all courses after June 22nd: No refund will be possible

High-quality housing will be available on-campus for students at an additional cost. Housing is assigned on a first-come first-served basis, and limited space is available. Housing estimates include all bills, utilities (electricity, water, gas, and internet) and board. Board will only include Breakfast and Dinner, to be prepared on-site by a private chef. Food and beverage service will begin on June 1st, 2019 and end on August 2nd, 2019 with the exception of July 4th, 2019.

We recommend that all out-of-state students and those who would otherwise have a long commute live on-campus. Staff will be available to discuss on-campus housing and other opportunities on an individual basis. Move-in will begin on May 31st, 2019. An assisted Move-in period will take place on May 31st, 2019 from approximately 10:30am to 12:30pm. All students planning to live on-campus should be moved in by the evening of June 2nd, 2019.
Parking is available through the University of Maryland Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) at a rate of 304 USD for the duration of the summer to those living on-campus. For commuter students, parking is available at the rate of 189 USD to park on-campus for class.
